JAMIE ARLON
Jamie Arlon started his career as an actor working from rep and regional theatre to the West End, and from small parts in film to the lead in a BBC TV series, working with some of Britain’s finest actors, including, Kenneth Brannagh, Maureen Lipman, Janet Suzman, Dame Judi Dench and Sir Anthony Hopkins, . It was at this time that he started sourcing songs from Nashville and New York’s top music publishers for artists such as Celine Dion, Cher, Edyta and Bonnie Tyler for record producer Christopher Neil. Spending further time in Nashville and Kentucky led to him managing the Kentucky rock band Edenstreet, moving to America and signing them to A&M Records. Leaving London for Los Angeles he based his management at A&M Records and set up the American side of his father’s, (Deke Arlon) music publishing company April Music. Jamie signed and worked with a handful of great British and American writers and artists, amongst them: Jim Weatherly, Robert White Johnson, Dennis Lambert and the Tom Collins catalogue. Gaining international hits as well as developing new talent, he was also fortunate enough to be involved in the management of some great songwriters and artists including Nicky Chinn, Bill Wyman and Ray Davies.

After selling the April music publishing company to the Sanctuary Group in 2001, Jamie became Director of A&R for Sanctuary Music Publishing and was a major contributor in the acquisition of talent during Sanctuary’s heyday. At Sanctuary he developed their roster of writers and artists, being given the opportunity to build a very successful and creatively driven new independent publishing company, with a roster that included amongst others: folk hero Bert Jansch, cult legend Todd Rundgren, UB40’s back catalogue and their 2005 album “Who You Fighting For”, the Ten Ten catalogue including the country-pop superstar Keith Urban, the Alan Roy Scott catalogue, the Gil Scott Heron catalogue which enjoyed a No1 hit with Paul Weller’s cover of “The Bottle”, Boz Boorer who co-wrote Morrissey’s phenomenal No. 2 album “You Are The Quarry”, and Axl Rose with his share of the entire Guns & Roses back catalogue and the “Chinese Democracy” album.

In the Summer of 2006 Jamie left Sanctuary to set up his own artist management and music publishing company: Arlon Music. Since then Jamie has signed highly experienced songwriters like the great guitar player and artist Andy Fairweather Low, while nurturing and developing the career of the highly acclaimed singer songwriter TD Lind, also representing the writing production teams TY Songs in Los Angeles and Rollover Music in London. Jamie was also proud to celebrate the end of his first year with the highly successful release of ex-Blue member, Lee Ryan’s 2007 Christmas single “Reinforce Love” on Tall Tale Records to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and CLIC Sargent Children’s Charity.

Jamie has gone on to release two further albums with TD Lind who was nominated for Independent Artist of the Year, he's also gained a major international single success as the publisher of the title track on Joe Cocker’s album “Hymn For My Soul”, gaining top 10 positions in both the UK and US charts and Top 5 in all GAS territories, he has represented music catalogues for Universal, Sanctuary, Bicycle, Lo-Jinx, and Rollover and has also recently placed songs in the major new ABC (US) hit tv drama "The Unusuals", the forthcoming Hollywood indie movie “Feed The Fish”, the forthcoming documentary feature film "The Gooners", the forthcoming Debbie Isitt film “Nativity” starring Martin Freeman, the award-winning British documentary film “The End” and the Julie Walters / Rupert Grint film “Driving Lessons.” The company have also placed tracks on several recent NBC commercials in the US and Arlon Music also represents a writing/production team in Los Angeles, TY Songs who have had songs in several US movies, Zack and Miri Make A Porno, Blond Ambition, Fools Gold, Bill as well as having their music used by MTV, Fox and ABC.
